Took a recent dark site opportunity to draw some bright galaxies. I hope the brightness is good for most computer screens.

Very realistic view of these springtime galaxies, i saw M-104, and the Leo galaxies for the first time last friday night at MVCC with Frank's college scope, i can only imagine how cool they would be from a dark sight, your sketch however gives me a good idea of what they would look like.

Thanks for the sketches, Aaron. This is exactly what I was looking for. I have a 13" mirror that I will be building a Dob for this summer and fall and wanted to see a good representation of what I can expect. These look very realistic and are encouraging!

Aaron,
Excellent observations of various galaxies visible in the Spring sky. You have captured the spiral structure of M51 and M101 very nicely as well as the dust lane of M104. Thank you for sharing them with us all.
