Looks like an older Chinese CG5 on a newer tripod that is missing the spreader assembly.

Appears to me to be (or similar to) one of the (non-Synta) GP/EQ4/CG5 clones that have been sold by Konus in the last few years. It appears to be perched on a tripod that came from an LXD75, maybe.

My take:
Looks like a CG5 cloneto me; it's not an Orion SVP but sure is similar, especially the RA gearing and clutch! I also agree with Rod that the tripod looks LXD75-ish. If not included you better get a counterweight on that shaft or you'll never achieve balance.

looks like a Konus controller, smaller 1.5"? steel legs and no name CG5. Nice refractor on it though, I saw that ebay sale. Objective looked clean.
If you are the one who wond that on ebay, you should be o.k - looks like everything is there. However, I would call those folks at the pawn shop and give a very stern, "NO SKIMPING ON SHIPPING MATERIALS"

yup the mount is a CG5 clone. I have a C8 mounted on mine and it works like a charm.
I don't have a clue as to who builds them but I do know that CG5 guts are the same as whats inside the clone.

Yep Synta EQ5 mount but the tripod looks like Celestron Omni CG4 tripod not really a LXD-75 mount. I have both mounts & Omni has 1 cluch to make the tripod height taller unlike the LXD-75 has 2 cluches. The colour of the tripod to the mount is mis matched but will still work fine.
PS did the mount come with any counter weight your pics dont show any? IF it did not dont use the mount untill you get some as you will strip your gears & drives on the mount.

Start with 2/3 of the payload - then add or remove as required.

Yep, I'd have to agree that it's a CG4 tripod. I just sold my CG4 today and spent some time looking it over. Same feet and one extension. And, yes, it lacks a tripod spreader. You might want to advertise for one and get a proper sized wing nut to hold it in place. With that much weight, I would be most concerned about the whole setup's stability carrying a C6R and any finders, etc.
You absolutely need counterweights. For the C6R I've used 2 11 lbs counterweights.
Honestly, IMHO, I'd seriously think about dumping the mount rather than trying to get it up to speed. Counterweights, tripod spreader, mount extension (because extending those legs to get it up to where that long tube will work without adding even more weight to front heavy OTA will make it more wobbly) and you're talking some $$. Just keep the OTA and keep an eye out for a used CG5-GT mount to handle that OTA.
P.S.: OK, maybe pick up a good wooden tripod to replace the CG4 tripod. Try Hands On Optics. You'll still need the c/weights and--perhaps--a mount extension, but those CG4 legs will simply never satisfactorily support the OTA.

Yep Synta EQ5 mount
I'd say "clone" of a Synta mount. Few years ago Synta apparently got too expensive for Konus.

Its the Konus em-10 mount head which is pretty much the same as the early cg-5's. I used to have one- pretty good out of the box but work much better with a dissasembly and relube.

EQ4/CG-5 mount, on either a LXD75 tripod or the Omni CG-4 tripod.
