This is my micro grab and push-to system. I made it since i get to use it much more often than before when everything was big and heavy. Components: Sirui cf tripod, Tecnosky elle alt-az mount, Fujinon 10x50 binoculars, Outdoorsmans binocular adapter, Green laser pointer, Samsung galaxy S3 running SkEye planetarium. I had to make a custom holder for the smartphone. I constructed it on a computer and it was laser cut from 8mm acrylic glass. They didn't have black in stock so it is transparent.... Pointing precision of SkEye planetarium is great for the wide field binoculars, but is not rivaling encoders yet. I am very happy with this modest setup.

Orly,

Great looking mount on what must be a functional tripod... nice. Wow, is Singapore just about the worse place for light pollution? That's quite a view!

I finally found a mount for my 10" SCT... A Celestron CGE... I knew these mounts were large, but my jaw dropped when I got it fully assembled... Now I've just got to figure out how to use it.

Just got the final configuration of scopes fitted to the Mesu 200 mount I got a couple of months ago.

Mount is superbly built/ Roller drive (no backlash) and controlled by SiTech II

I made the platform to raise it on the pier from 1/2" steel discs and 30mm studding..it weighs 33 kg alone!...a bit over the top but solid as a rock.

The scopes are a GSO 8"RC with megrez 72 on top with an Altair Astro 102 EDT triplet with Altair 60mm guide scope.

All mounting hardware is ADM total weight about 25kg ..the Mesu handles it easily.

Sorry if 8 pics too much.

Tom

Here is my new to me mount ready for a night at the clubs dark site. Once I get my new pier done for the observatory, it will begin its imaging duties.
