The avatar is there now. It must have done a disappearing act for a while.

Must be in the computer settings. I still see a Carvin single cutaway with a really nice maple top staring at me.
Edit: Here's that answer that I got from others on CN; it's probably a setting in your browser. I asked the moderators if they could see it. All but one could see it and that particular person said that he has FireFox with, as he put it, a paranoid safety feature that won't allow avatars from other browsers or servers to be seen.

This past week - a dream realized as the UPS man dropped off eight boxes that assembled themselves into an AP900 once fully unpacked. As you can see.....I'm teetering on the brink of overloading the poor mount.

...and the official first light photo with the AP900. A single 10 minute frame of NGC4565 from my light polluted Goodyear, AZ backyard. Stars aren't quite perfectly round.....but I hadn't changed any of the autoguider settings from my CGE. I just calibrated and went to town.

I'm still waiting on the tray but here's my new grab-n-go setup...
Berlebach Planet with AP Adapter/Eagle Pier Extension/DM-6 to AP Adapter/DM-6. Man is this rock solid! Truly a pleasure to use. This is also a very aesthetically pleasing setup with everything 6" diameter...

I originally purchased the little Tele Vue Tele-Pod head to hold me over until my Losmandy GM-8 arrived, but I've been so taken with manually scanning around the sky that I believe I'll go ahead and add the eyepiece caddies, encoders and a Sky Commander XP4.

Finally today have my CI-700 in a state to post in the thread here!
I got my CI-700 used without a tripod so I have as of this afternoon have it mounted on a permanent concrete pier. The deck does not actually touch the pier - instead the pier is anchored into solid granite another 3 feet below the surface of the deck.

And since this thread could stand to have it's post count raised a bit..... here is a closeup, with scope mounted in my astrophotography setup (with nearly none of the cables connected to make the picture look better )
