That's a very professional and stress relieving setup! Someday, in my own observatory, I'm going to make sure mine is also anything but cluttered. I can't stand clutter.
The observatory is new, so I haven't had time to collect much clutter. Here's another shot showing the rest of it...

That's okay, but I still think it looks great! My dad and I have been considering the foam-dome design, mainly because it's cheap, and we could easily take it down when I go to college. I think it'll be a great future project, especially next year when I'm old enough to get a job, so I can mount my XT10i Intelliscope on an EQ. Then I think It'll be a cool thing

Hi Jeff and skybsd, Yes, GEMINI2 is still in beta test ... We tested for corrections. The updates (from René G) are almost daily... It progresses quickly. Oh yes, they work with gloves and in the cold ...

Mike I guess I fooled you. Its sweat finished with a 3d fan design, I have been a concrete finisher for 30 years,,,
The pier footings are 36x36x48 deep and are not connected to the 6" thick slab. I guess it must be the water i sprayed on it before I took the shot.

That's a very nice little setup! I'd love to play around with something little like that (if I had a camera) , it's very interesting. I'd like to see some photos you can take using that.

If I can extend it without sacrificing stability I would but I have not found a way to do that so far with my tripod.
I also loaded the hollow legs with sand yesterday and planning to add some weight to each of the legs.
Glad you liked the shot
