Here is my new mount, nothing like some of the high end stuff here. First part of arrival on a new set-up to replace a 20+yr old Tasco 11T. I am waiting on AT6RC to put on my CG5-GT, currently moved my 4" newt over to it to get familar with the GOTO and become confident with the mount. Just wish it was a bit warmer out.

This is my Chronos HD32HPO Mount that's currently setup inside my Home Office while I test the new TheSkyX Pro native driver that Chronos has developed for their Mounts.

Awesome looking mount! Your pooch doesn't look thrilled to be sharing his corner with it, though.

What a setup! And you even bring out the doggie bed with it. How's that for dedication!

Welcome to CN, LBASTRO. Judging from your website, am I correct that you fabricated the pedestal yourself? (Sorry, I don't speak Italian). Very impressive!

That is a different Dog bed. But if you go back and look at the center of that photo you will see my Dog is happily on guard duty in the distance!

That is the SWEETEST thing I've ever seen, except for that recent Steampunk refractor by Tim that everyone has been drooling over. This and that tie in my book for awesome scopes I'd give my left arm for.

Thanks.

It's well built precision equipment. All of the data and power cables for fans, camera, focuser, etc., are connected through the mount so no cables hang loose from the OTA, leaving nothing to get tangled while slewing.

I am waiting on a cats eye collimation kit and I have some learning to get a good polar alignment and pointing/tracking files, but first light shows that it just might be a good imaging system.

At F/3.6 it certainly captures data faster than my CPC-1100.

Here is a link to a few single (no stacks) uncalibrated and unprocessed 5 min unguided subs shot as first light test images.

Space Igloo

I hope to be capturing unguided 10 minute subs soon.

My new CG-4 is the perfect match for my Orion ED80. I'm a happy camper.

The Obsession! Concerning the mount, so far so good!

It's an 8", someday an 11" will be there.
