I'd like to look at this again through a bigger telescope.

EDIT.
My comment seems a rather mean in hindsight and that was not my intention - hence its removal.
You have done a good job with the ETX80 imaging a faint object such as M13 and you have my admiration Sir
Also, please forgive my manners. Welcome to Cloudy Nights and the ETX forum in particular.

That sure looks like M13. I've thought about trying some of the brighter DSOs Afocal. You never know your luck. Anyway, that's a good image. Well done.
Peter.

No Peter, much to my chagrin, I haven't
With regard to the OP it IS a good image for such a faint object with the ETX 80, isn't it?
In hindsight, my post seems to be mocking and that was not my intention.
Please accept my apologies.

I can't see it on my screen at all. I don't know if it's my screen or just a vary low light pic. Did you try adjust brightness/contrast.

I'll try to work with it a bit more. It looks OK on my monitor at home, a very high end monitor, it looks like *BLEEP* on my work laptop. I can always brighten it, but, that will introduce a lot more noise and artifacts.

Thanks to Art and Peter for the compliments / encouragement. I hope to buy a bigger scope to get some greater detail in my shots.

That 2nd pic is an excellent shot of M13. I'm impressed and I don't get impressed easily! And that's from the ETX 80? Must have nice skies my friend.

Skyboomer - did you or the OP (newbographer) tweak the image?
Whoever did, what processing did you do?
It has brought out M13 from all of the noise.
Can be clearly seen now - a great shot with the ETX80

Cheers SB.
Useful to know - but can you remember EXACTLY what you did to clean the image up - it made a huge difference.

Art The verison i use is ver.9 it has a one step photo fix. Click a button and it will clean up the photo some from there i just adjust bright, contrast ,color ,hist adjust. I'm a jack of all trades master of none.I'm lucky i have a photographic memory so i don't take alot of notes.

Hi SB...
Know the problem well!
Into computers (boy, how I wish I wasn't - I'm the family's resident guru), r/c model car racing, model trains (OO/HO) scale, 1:1 scale steam trains, photography, DIY, gardening, etc, etc, oh, and astronomy! There really aren't enough hours in the day.
Oh, and I'm still working
Can't wait for retirement to have lots of time to do all this stuff (but then I'll be poor)!
