lunar "x"
      #3071819 - 04/27/09 11:47 PM

I thought I would post an oldie. Lunar x taken april 14,2008 with a canon a460 on autoexposure afocally through a etx80 and 26 mm ep. this was best picture from my first attempts at lunar astrophotography. If you follow the terminator down a bit you can see it.

Good pic for your first attempts Rob. Being afocal, was this hand-held?

As far as the "X" goes -d o you think there's any treasure there then?

Meade ETX105 (a nice "Grab & Go" scope) & Celestron NexStar 6SE with Bob's Knobs.

Various EP's from 6mm to 26mm, Baader Hyperion 8-24mm Zoom, a 2x Barlow, 2" diagonal and 7Ah PowerTank.
MRF and Antares 8x50 RACI finder scope - both for the 6SE's OTA, whilst the ETX gets a plain RDF.

Canon EOS 400D DSLR (un-modded) and SPC900 webcam. Finally climbing the AP Learning Curve!

I used a homemade adapter to attach the camera to the ep. I don't know if the x marks a treasure, but I find a treasure everytime I look through an eyepiece.

That's a true word that.

I never cease to be amazed at the views of the Moon that I get. Seems I'm one of those people that will never tire of dear old Luna.
