The Moon – April 30, 2009 1h 30m UT, ETX-125PE
      #3076051 - 04/29/09 10:51 PM Attachment (86 downloads)

Imaging Camera: Canon Rebel XTi
Filter: None
Exposure: 1/50sec, ISO800, saved as RAW
Imaging Telescope: Meade ETX 125PE @ f/15
Processing: Digital Photo Pro, Panorama Maker, Photoshop Elements, Registax

Although it was a tad hazy this evening the moon was just too pretty to pass up. This is a single frame taken with my ETX-125PE and with mild wavelets (all 3.1) applied with Registax. I also used a remote switch and the mirror lock-up function of my Rebel XTi to give the mirror flop time to dampen out. If you look closely the sun is just catching the top of the central peak in the crater Theophilus on the northwest shore of Mare Nectaris.

Meade ETX105 (a nice "Grab & Go" scope) & Celestron NexStar 6SE with Bob's Knobs.

Various EP's from 6mm to 26mm, Baader Hyperion 8-24mm Zoom, a 2x Barlow, 2" diagonal and 7Ah PowerTank.
MRF and Antares 8x50 RACI finder scope - both for the 6SE's OTA, whilst the ETX gets a plain RDF.

Canon EOS 400D DSLR (un-modded) and SPC900 webcam. Finally climbing the AP Learning Curve!

You have captured a lot of detail with a single frame! Very well done.
