This is my first dso astrophoto. m42 with etx 80 and dsi-c. 18x15s processed with envisage. I tried to capture as much nebulosity as I could, hence the overexposed core. taken feb. 22/09 from my dark sky site near Teulon, Mb., Canada. BTW the temperature was -22c. with a light breeze. My observatory offered some protection from the wind but still, brrrrrrr. Can't wait until I get my warm room setup.
-------------------- SN8, LXD75, ETX 80, 4 1/2 inch Newtonian, DSI-C, Meade series 4000 eyepiece set, Antares ub2s barlow, antares 5x barlow, 10x50 binoculars.

Meade ETX105 (a nice "Grab & Go" scope) & Celestron NexStar 6SE with Bob's Knobs.
Various EP's from 6mm to 26mm, Baader Hyperion 8-24mm Zoom, a 2x Barlow, 2" diagonal and 7Ah PowerTank.
MRF and Antares 8x50 RACI finder scope - both for the 6SE's OTA, whilst the ETX gets a plain RDF.

very nice - and that very cold temperature likely held the noise down for your DSI!!!
