This evening the air was not especially steady. I could only make out three craterlets in Plato, in more quiet moments. So I concentrated on the subtle differences in surface brightness. (32-cm-Dobson, 150x)

Uwe

Very nice sketch.

I too was looking at the moon last night and the details around Plato, Copernicus and Clavius. Although through high haze, it was some of the most rare atomospheric still air I have seen in many years. Seeing was a close 10/10! I should have been sketching! Instead I took several photos though the telescope eyepiece for possible future sketching reference.

Mark

Uwe,

Oh! I missed this sketch yesterday. Very nice work Uwe. I think everyone that looks at the moon has fun trying see how many craterlets they can pick out on the floor of Plato.

Uwe,

An excellent observation of Plato. You have captured a few craterlets over the floor. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Carlos
