Hey Jeff,

Nice link! This looks like the perfect design for a minimalist scope, such as an "aircraft carry on" or "grab & go," particularly as it only needs a mounting board, not even a ring.

I really dig the aesthetics of a three vaned curved spider, though, so all else being equal, I'd like to give one a shot; As I only have to hit 45 pounds total, I've got some freedom to to splurge here or there where it makes me happy

Well, I've made the commitment, and just placed my order with Hans of Destiny. I figure it'll be easier to finalize the UTA design with all the parts on hand! It's also occurred to me that I could try it out on my existing scope as well, until the new one is built.
