here in the Southeast. Our drought is over and so are our clear skies. For months now no clear skies and tons of rain in SC. All the while the quality here in the DSLR forum has exploded. Looking at the submissions over the last few months and now this month's work it is awesome what is being done. All the entries are stunning. HHAstro (Bruno) and Mike Clemens images are vortex like drawing you into the center of the galaxy. Seems every month the improvements are exponential.
We aren't jealous here in South Carolina over being left behind. No, more proud of what you are doing. But man its hard sitting out the weather. Good job folks.

Dallas - one clear night in the last 30. Rainiest spring in many years. More rain predicted through the week.
It's great for the grass, but not so great for this hobby.

Hi Jerry,
Please wait a little bit, the nasty clouds from SC will go over the Atlantik and give Germany a feeling of the Monsun like nearly every year. The clear night-sky will come back again over SC and the South.
Overall I think that you US-fellows have very much more clear nights than in rainy old Europe.

I guess it depends on where you are. In much of upstate NY in the winter, there aren't many clear nights. At least there's not a whole lot of rain most winters.
Fortunately, we're far enough south to image in the summer.
