I borrowed a friend's LXD-75 mount and forgot to get the power connector. Can someone tell me if I can get an adapter from Radio Shack, so I can make a power cord from my 12v power tank to the mount? Secondly is the positive terminal in the middle or side?

The center is positive. The connector is 5.5mm outside diameter, 2.5mm inside diameter and yes, Radio Shack has 'em.

Thanks John. By any chance you have the part number from Radio Shack? so I don't have to bring the head there to match up.

If you are going to buy a power supply, I'd suggest ordering one. Radio shack is way too expensive. Plus, their adapters can have the tip either P or N. If you mistakenly plug the connector in in wrong , bad things will happen.

I'm not getting a power supply, but just the plug. Since John told me that the center is positive...slam dunk. Once I get the right adapter, I can wire it accordingly and plug it in my power tank or 12v lead acid battery.

Dunno the part number, but the dimensions I supplied earlier should get you the right one.

I don't have the part number, but I believe it's a size N connector.

Size N is correct, just beware that the Radio Shack N will be a little loose and can cause a power loss. I used a radio shack n and ended up spreading the post out a bit to get good contact.
