Which Alt Az mount (under $600) for Sky Comm. ?
      #3114735 - 05/19/09 02:04 PM

Hey folks,

I would love a premium alt az mount w/ Sky Commander for use with my NP 101, but don't have the budget.

Which alt az mount in the $400 to $600 range would work well with the Sky Commander?

I am looking to purchase the mount now, but may add the Sky Commander later.

Also, any experiences with Sky Commander are welcome. Do you feel it a good benefit when looking for DSOs?

Thanks,

Sean

I don't think you're going to find one of the mass produced mounts for that price that will accomodate it easily.

However the TV Gibraltar is in the $700 range and it will handle the encoders easily (Sky Commander or Sky Tour).
