AT Voyager Thread Size

For those who have swapped the head onto a wooden tripod, what is the thread size it accepts? 3/8" ? Or does the head not come off - you just swapped out the aluminum legs individually...?

Thank you sir! So it is possible to detach the head and mount to another tripod vs simply removing the legs.
