I don’t mind the 60k rule but then I have a website where I can upload my images. Btw, is there a size limit in the CN gallery section?

Chris,
From what I gather here, you must then be only about 17 or so, correct? I can remember those days.....wwwaaayyy back in 1969, when I was just 15! I built my 8" reflector back then. That was fun. Astronomy was and still is fun!!!
I have a WEB PAGE too.
I like your images too especially your DSO's!
Happy Observing!

Thanks! Your site isn’t that shabby either I got some more images to add now so I will have to update it again.

17? I guess I should take that as a compliment? You have to add another 8 years Len - although my girlfriend keeps telling me I’m still acting 16, so I guess you aren’t that far off! ) Guess I should upload my avatar again...

I have always loved astronomy and will probably keep on watching the stars until they are lost in the light pollution. But by then I will have moved to the moon like all the rest of you!

Sorry for the silence paople, but I had to go out of town at the last minute and dind't have the opportunity to review CN in my hotel. I almost never view CN during my work day. Just a ethics thing with me.

Anyway, Tom L put together a new announcement on posting images. It is basically what I said in my forum guidelines. The only thing he didn't mentioned was the forcing of a image to load stored on another website. You are free to do it, just the same guidelines of 60k apply.

As to my editing your images you probably will notice that I will not edit an image 64.9k or less. I'm pretty much giving you the same benefit police would give you on a speeding ticket. If you stay under 5K of the limit I won't bother it.

Like I have said before many times. If you have a image that you think is degraded too much by the 60k limit make it 200k if you want and post it in the photogallery. Then you can post the small image in the forum and a link to the larger image in the photogallery. That is what I have been doing for a long time.

Anyway, Go out and take great images and post them all so we can enjoy them, just try to remember the gial up users.

Thanks
Charles
