Hi all,
last night I was packing my ETX 125 PE, when I loosed the alt clutch it "crashed" towards me and hit me with it's finder. the finder was a bit cracked to begin with.
Are there any simple fix solutions for this? I talked to my dealer and he saied it's not part of the warrenty, plus he operates the only astro store in Israel and dose't have a replacement on stock. I was thinking that maybe I could just break it's "base" or "leg" completely off and tape it to the OTA. has anyone done such a brutal operation before? any suggestions?

I believe there is wiring you may be faced with that connect the LNT to the telescope and drive circuitry may cause you even more of a problem. You may want to contact Meade customer service. Lumicon sells a metal bracket stiffener for the LNT support that may be provide a repair option.
