John,
I spoke with that guy about the C-8 with large diagonal. I asked him if it was the C-14 diagonal and he said yes, but it had an adapter to fit on the C-8. Rich

That's a TAL 110mm. Had one of these back in the mid-90's. Decent scope, solid mount - especially at that price.

Bruce......Looks to me like the original 25x50mm finder got replaced.....could be the deal killer there for the diehard. I will be vvvvverry interested in what this puppy will bring. That manual alone would be worth three figures even creased.   Mike

Mike, care to trade your RA product for my RA product? Mine's only 90mm compared to your 108mm, but remember mine has..., well ok it has..., Ok, so I'll throw in an older C8. You get 2 scopes for the price of one!! Ain't that a good deal? What,,??? no you say.. Yeah, I can't blame you there..  Oh well, I guess I'll just keep looking. There is a 4 inch Unitron for sale locally, well kind of locally. In Colorado. Maybe Brian would be interested, he only has 2 right now, if I'm not mistaken. Enjoy your day, Rich

Here on E-vilbay is a Brandon, i think it was sold as a spotting scope but wasn't so bad astronomically.

I have the older one of these Brandon triplets. It is hands down one of the best wide field finders you have ever seen Awsome little scope. Its nice to see the ring in the finder before looking at it in the 6" F15. I scored it for $120 with some Losmandy guide scope rings. I would give it a 9... Some reports I have seen have seen said the objectives were not that good but I must have found a freak!!! Works really well.
Cavemans Unitron. You spend more time under a dark sky looking thru it than at it. Except during the daytime..Then you have to look at it because it is so awsome looking!!!!

Clint i had the same older version triplet and it was a great scope, the focuser is a work of art, even though it is R&P it is buttery smooth. The person i sold it to was tickled pink when it arrived in the mail.
BTW i wasn't knocking Unitrons with my Signature "Unitrons, you spend more time looking at them than you do through them." I was trying to state how gorgeous they are in build quality to look at. 
Clint i am going to start a post soon about some odd Kogaku accessories i have found and i will be needing your expertise on the matter.  I will post it sometime this week after i can snap some pictures and download them.
