I picked up a 17.5" Coulter yesterday, it took up my whole bed of my one ton pickup truck.

There was one of these on ebay a couple of years ago for $200, but pick up only in California. Being in NJ, it just didn't work out.

Just found this on the New Orleans craigslist. I'm assuming it's an RV-6:
Criterion 6" / f/8
I'm not the seller.

The primary has some issues..... more like volumes. Large edge chips on the backside and some scratches. They used the primary as a Beer coaster at one time, plus i know the history of these scopes and the 17.5" were known to be hit and miss, more the latter. But it should still be fun for the family.
I added some extra $ for the Red Tasco and eq, maybe a good outreach scope for you Preston??? Let me know and its yours? no charge of course.

Hi Brian, this is Preston, you can send the red Tasco to ........................................
Wow, a beer coaster hah. Sounds like they may have hit someone over the head with it too . Can't wait to hear how it performs for ya. With that much mirror surface it should still pull stuff right out of the sky, a little damage or not. I've been considering pickin one up and also read about the hit or miss optics. If the price is right though it really doesn't matter. Good luck with it.

Thanks for the consideration my friend! But I don't touch those funny tubes with mirrors in the bottom....I've even heard that some manufactures put spiders in them! What the heck is that all about?
Hey, I still owe you a 40mm objective don't I? Hmmm, gotta figure out where the wife put it. She has a tendency to "clean up" if I leave something out for a couple of days....

For 55 bucks, how can you go wrong. Looks to be in pretty decent shape. If anyone is near Milwaukee, you might want to take a look. Rich

A nice 8" f/15 lens can be had for $2395.00 from D&G. We should find Al Paslow as he hangs out around CN occasionally and see if he would pay this much for a Brandt lens. I would doubt it but a 12" is a "rare bird".

I came real cost to buying this one. Local to me as well. He turned down an offer of: $3,000 cash, plus a C-11, and a 4 inch apo refractor. I didn't want the Astroworks mount.
