Galactic Stone Meteorites Web Junket!

Galactic Stone & Ironworks meteorites now has a world-wide presence, via the internet. You can now find Galactic Stone meteorites on several different online venues. Please keep in mind - my best deals go to my friends here on Cloudy Nights. So you may notice my prices on some items vary from venue to venue - this is because some venues charge fees and I have to absorb those fees into my costs. Other venues, like MySpace, are simply ways to keep in touch with friends and spread awareness about meteorites to demographics who might not normally see a meteorite.

If you are a member of any of these websites listed below, please visit me and add me as your friend - I offer exclusive deals from time to time on these sites.

Thanks Carol.

I assume you mean the micromounts. I need to develop a new system for photographing micromounts. The problem is, micromounts are very tiny and they sell quick. So, if I take a photo of a given micromount, it's sold a day or two later, and then I have to snap another photo and upload it - then, the new photo looks exactly like the old photo - a tiny speck/pebble resting on a gemjar cushion. So to save myself a ton of redundant work, I snapped a single photo that shows different sizes of micromounts based on rarity of the specimen. (some micros are bigger than others) - the individual micromount descriptions refer to the photo and tell the reader what size micromount to expect - based on the comparison photo. It's not a perfect system. I've had a couple of comments/complaints from visitors wanting to see the actual micromount they are buying. When that happens, I hurry and snap a photo of the actual speck and email it to them. Most dealers don't provide any photos of micromounts - they just have a text listing of available specimens and prices. I tried to find a middle ground - between having no micro photos and having photos of every single speck.

If you are ever curious about what a specific micromount looks like, email me and let me know and I'll send a photo of that specimen.

Of course, I am also open to suggestions on a new and better system of presenting micromounts.

Best regards and clear skies,

MikeG

Thanks Mike; since I'm still new in the Meteorite field, I don't know what some look like. As you explained though, a micromount pretty much looks the same, no matter what it is.
