The problem is, micromounts are very tiny and they sell quick. So, if I take a photo of a given micromount, it's sold a day or two later, and then I have to snap another photo and upload it - then, the new photo looks exactly like the old photo - a tiny speck/pebble resting on a gemjar cushion. So to save myself a ton of redundant work, I snapped a single photo that shows different sizes of micromounts based on rarity of the specimen. (some micros are bigger than others) - the individual micromount descriptions refer to the photo and tell the reader what size micromount to expect - based on the comparison photo. It's not a perfect system. I've had a couple of comments/complaints from visitors wanting to see the actual micromount they are buying. When that happens, I hurry and snap a photo of the actual speck and email it to them. Most dealers don't provide any photos of micromounts - they just have a text listing of available specimens and prices. I tried to find a middle ground - between having no micro photos and having photos of every single speck. If you are ever curious about what a specific micromount looks like, email me and let me know and I'll send a photo of that specimen. Of course, I am also open to suggestions on a new and better system of presenting micromounts. As you explained though, a micromount pretty much looks the same, no matter what it is.
