NEW CG-5 ASGT SETUP PROBLEM

i just got a new CG-5 ASGT mount with clear skies how that happen. lol Anyway i set up time location etc and go to do two star alignment and the scope heads towards the correct star pauses and then takes off all by it self out off control. reset factory setting and still does the same. recheck time loc ect tried running of a battery and 12volt adapter.. any help would be great and also i can fiquie out what version the control has ...out in the field now mark

I can't tell you why, but I can tell you what's happening. The controller isn't properly seeing the RA encoders. The runaway is caused by the open loop this creates.

ahh i found it ...where you plug the power cable in the pins in the mount head just needed to be spread apart to get a better connection ...all is fine ..mark
