Deep Space Products, www.deepspaceproducts.com, is proud to announce that we are now the exclusive source for the popular HyperTune® German equatorial mount products and services originally provided through www.LXD55.com and www.LXD75.com.

Deep Space Products began offering thermoelectric cooling upgrades for Meade DSI I and II cameras in November of 2007. The business quickly expanded to include coolers for the DSI III cameras and several different cooler models that include single-stage and dual-stage air drying systems and a water-cooling option. In May, Deep Space Products acquired the rights to the HyperTune® service and LXD websites from Richard Harris and www.scopetrader.com who began offering the HyperTune® products and services in 2001.

Deep Space Products will continue to offer the three levels of HyperTune® service, Express, Level 1 and Level 2 (which includes tuneup of your OTA). These services can be completed on most mass-produced GEM mounts and include complete disassembly of the mount, cleaning and degreasing (to remove the gummy grease that is common to many foreign-manufactured mounts), sanding and polishing of internal surfaces as necessary, regreasing, reassembly, gear adjustment, alignment of mount components, and firmware upgrades.

For those who like to work on their equipment themselves, Deep Space Products offers a do-it-yourself HyperTune® video and a complete HyperTune® kit that includes everything needed to perform a HyperTune® on your LXD55 mount yourself. This video and kit are also useful for tuning up other similar mounts such as the Celestron CG-4 and CG-5 and Orion mounts. We also offer replacement Teflon bearing kits for LXD55 mounts and encoder wheel replacements for LXD55 and LXD75 mounts.

New products and services are in the works including additional modifications for the LXD mounts as well as products and services for the popular Orion Atlas mount. While our websites are in the process of being modified and upgraded, we are open for business and happy to take your orders for products and services. We are also interested in hearing about any ideas you might have for new products to upgrade and improve mounts that will help you make the best use of, and get the greatest enjoyment from, your mount.
