This is an exciting announcement!
Canadian Satellite Tracking and Orbit Research proudly announces a new research paper.
Entitled: "The Iridium 33 - Cosmos 2251 Collision: Creating Liability Awareness for Space Property / Contemplating the Future of Space Surveillance"
This is a never before seen ground-breaking research paper written to explore the liability and responsibility issues with respect to the satellite industry and the space surveillance community.
The collision has served as a wake-up call for the entire satellite industry with respect to defining (sadly lacking)responsibility and liability issues in space.
The paper attempts to define specific collision scenarios, liability for launch, rocket and payloads, as well as a new private space surveillance infrastructure run by the satellite industry.
It is now time to seriously begin thinking about how to protect our precious satellite infrastructure from collisions. This paper offers a beginning to this process.
Please visit www.castor2.ca/08_Papers/collision to read the Table of Contents and Introduction to this paper and to order your copy for $20.00 USD.
Thank You for your attention.
