Tonight, Sinus Iridum hangs off the Terminator like a big old handle.
Well, I have a sinus problem and my Bogen will handle a bigger pair of binos. Is that a sign or what?
A quick check at BigBinoculars.com and the 22 x 100's are back and ready to ship after being out of stock for what seems like weeks. Mere coincidence?
Has anybody out there tried these yet?
I leave my 15 x 70 Oberwerks on the tripod all the time and frequently use them for "quick looks" when I just don't have the time or am too lazy to roll out the NS11/Denk combo. Although I have been very happy with these binos, I find myself wondering if I would be a little happier with a little more aperture.
I think I only need one more sign to order a pair. Ron?
Input from anybody (except my brother John) is welcome.

Pat;
I'm of two minds on this one. If I talk you into them then I've got a sucker - er enthusist to test them out.
On the other hand, for more power you have the NS11 which will take different eye pieces. The strength of the bino's is its' wide field view which means a SMALL bino, not a bigger one. Say, in the 42mm to 56mm range.
I've been where you're at and I'm very afraid you'll get them, love them, and then I'll want a pair. Like I really need more what with the binoviewer and digital camera hot on my list.
Certainly look impressive don't they?!
Maybe you can get them then ship them down south for a quick test ride by your ol' pal Ron!

Sure Pat, you'll listen to a guy who claims to have two minds but can't make up either one of them and not welcome the highly intelligent sumations of your younger wiser brother.
You're really acting like a girl on this one. Get the damn bino's and sell me the 15X70's (at a very reasonable family member price) and be done with it. Do I have to come down there and smack you upside of the head or what?
Be careful in the binoviewer group...now they're talking about guns!

Ya know John, you should really ask for a sign *NOT* to buy them.

John;
You guys have a younger smarter brother?! I should have guessed somebody in the family would have gotten all the intelligence and looks!
By the way, I feel strongly both ways.
Grand Canyon State Games coming up the weekend of June 21st & 22nd. I'm the Airgun Director for silhouette (pistol & rifle) and indoor 10 meter bullseye (rifle & pistol). They also have several events in firearms. All are welcome (aka put your money where your mouth is!).

Actually we have two younger brothers, not neccessarily smarter or better looking but we didn't have enough "Ron" hats to go around for the picture.
Coming down there is on my "wish list" Ron so don't go moving back to Minnisota before then. So there ya go, I have a wish list too. I expect the Gillies boyz will show our faces down there at a Star Party someday, but you have to lay down your weapons, especially your varmint rifles. Then all you NS11 guys can gang up on me.

Cool! A road trip.
I know we pronounce it Minnisota but we have to spell it Minnesota. That's how they have it in the state song.
By the way, I don't consider you a varmint. Yet. To maintain that status, visit your local Celestron dealer to upgrade.
Four brothers Gillies! Any sisters too?

Are they selling Meade 14"LX200GPS's at Celestron dealers now? You did say upgrade didn't you?
Yeah I have a sister, and you know what? I think I'd even wish her on you. Nawww...I wouldn't do that. Yer not a varmint in my books either.....yet!

John;
You're in much better shape than I. I've seen the 12" Meade in person at that scope is a brute. I can't imagine hauling the 14" around without a fork lift.
Your poor sister. Your poor poor sister. I bet she would welcome the opportunity to send you guys south of the border!
Bring your 14" Meade when you come down. I'd haven't seen a grown man cry in quite a while (I can see the tears now as you try to lift that sucker).

Pat, I don't think that we have ever met but I had a dream last night about someone named Pat that didn't get a pair of 22 x 100 binos while a fresh, new supply was available and regretted it for the rest of his life. I woke up in a sweat and tried to figure it out. Who was "Pat"? What difference does it make if he doesn't act now?
After reading this thread it all becomes clear now. The dream was about you Pat. Buy the 22 x 100s, now. Do it Pat or you will regret it for the rest of your life. Go ahead, do it.
(hope this helps Pat because you will owe me one when I get the yammies for a motorized observing chair... that I can't afford ... yet).
Happy viewing with your new 22 x 100 binos, Nick

There you go! You had a sign, it was delivered to the wrong address but has been forwarded to you: Finally. Thank your lucky stars you have received it in time.
You owe Nick big time!

Thanks Darth..er..Nick.
Hey Ron, I just noticed that you are an "esteemed elder" . Doesn't that make you the person most qualified to take the plunge, purchase a set and report back to us?
