Has anyone ever shipped this tripod without the original Meade box...and if so, was it difficult finding the right box size?

I guess I should mention why I'm asking. I bought an LXD75 from someone a month ago and they've had a hard time finding a box for the tripod (I received the mount itself already)....

Every UPS store sells a box 12" X 12" X 48"; I've used those to ship tripods.

Thanks John. I thought so....I was going to call UPS tomorrow and ask as this has been far too long. I've been patient because this individual is well known in the astro community. No fear mods, I'll not say who this is. Just reassuring myself that shipping this tripod is not all that difficult.

I shipped it's larger brother, the Meade field tripod which comes with the LX200 8 & 10" scopes, and had no problems finding a box. I actually made part of the box from other boxes and taped the socks off it. It arrived safe and sound.
