It is difficult to capture the delicate nature of a rainbow and I have to practice on these ethereal showpieces of nature. I made the observation on June 6, 2009 at 06:30 P.M. EDT. It was much more striking in person! A digital image produced in Gimp. Not only did you capture the color reversal in the secondary but as is always the case with a rainbow the inside of the arc shows a much brighter sky than beyond the outside of the arc. Check any good photo of a rainbow and you will see this is always true.
