Anyone have experience with this mount? I have been looking for a relatively lightweight GEM that can hold up to 15 pounds and a longish f/9 refractor (Celestron C102F) and I am wondering if this is a possibility? I think it was also sold under some other brand names? Maybe Konus?

Has anyone used one with a long 4" refractor that can give me some feedback? Is it discontinued? I found one advertised evidently as new in Hong Kong on the web.

Does it have slo-mo controls? Come with & without motors? Vixen-style clamp?

Just looking for the impossible - a stable GEM at approx. 20 pounds or less that can hold up to 15 pounds.

Thanks

Thanks, but no, they are different. The NES is a standard equatorial that holds over 15 pounds of gear per what I have read. The Skymemo is a different critter...

I have a Kenko NES2 mount (bought 2 years ago from M&T Optics Co Ltd. of Taiwan under the name of GEM 1) as shown hereunder. It can just hold my C6. It can also hold a short focus 4” refractor such as my Vixen SS100 (100 mm f/6.8) but not a longer focus and heavier one such as my TSA102. Anything over 10 lb would induce unacceptable vibration (to me). The Kenko NES2 can have single or dual axes motor control.

Thanks K.W. for the first hand experience. Well, I guess that's out then. I appreciate your input, so I can put that behind me as an option.
