I'm seeing some beautiful work posted in the other photography forums and would love to highlight some comet photos in next months gallery.
For your photo entries, please provide a description that includes: your First and Last Name; Date of photo (can include the time); Description (title) of the image; Relevant photo information (exposure length and equipment used).
This is important! If you don't supply ALL information, we won't be able to use your photograph!!!!
Please note: due to copyright issues, all photos should be original (If they aren't then you will be banned from this section of the forum!).
To facilitate the judging we respectfully ask that you not enter comments in the photo thread. You will find a commentary thread for the solar entries. Thanks and good luck!

Comet Machholz taken with a Canon Digital Rebel on 1-26-05. Seven 10sec exposures were stacked.

Bill. I reduced the physical size of your image so that it fit on a standard monitor. You may wish to post the original full-size image in your personal CN-Photo Gallery and post a link in this forum.

Televue 85, x0.8 focal reducer, Canon 10D on Losmandy GM8 mount.
Comet C/2004 Q2 (Machholz) set against the rich star fields on the Per/Cas border on 29 Jan 2005.
This is a stacked image centered at 23:15 UT 29 Jan 2005. It is composed from 17 x 240s at ISO 800 taken with a Canon 10D (Images started at 22:41 and ending at 23:53).
