Will resetting the hand controller restore it back to the original firmware version if it was updated to the newest firmware? Thanks

NO--- it just changes ALL of the settings back to Factory Default-- so the SITE might be in California, and the TIME, DATE will be wrong if you you don't have the GPS model--
RESET-- then Calibrate Motors (with the same power supply you use outside), Train Drives, Calibrate Sensors in that order.
I always Calibrate Motors first thing every time--when I setup outside, I re-train the drives and Calibrate Sensors about once per year.

What is calibrate sensors? No setting in the controller for that unless it's under a different name. Also will the drives need to be retrained if the controller is reset? Appreciate the help

It's under Telescope on the 497 controller with an LNT module--- like the Personal Edition model ETX---
other models will not have this if they don't do level and north automatically.
