I have a Meade I'd like to use on the voyager but I'm wondering about stabilty and vibrations. This would be used as a grab-n-go unit that I could just take out the sliding door onto the deck. However there is some vibration at high magnification (150x) due to the use of this relatively lightweight tripod. The stability would be greatly improved with a CG-5 tripod (2” stainless steel legs) bur then the set up is much heavier.
