Although the nights aren't completely dark during this month, I couldn't resist sketching these fine open clusters. They just looked so nice!. M7 & M6 are observed with my 4" F/5 refrator, M11 with my 12,5" F/4,8 Dob. The sketches are made with a black felt pen on white paper, later inverted and enhanced using Photoshop.
M7 was only 3 (!!!!) degrees above the horizon when I made the sketch. It's the maximum altitude it reaches from my observing site. I never thought I would be able to see it!

Roel,
I really enjoy your sketches! Your capture of the clusters is wonderful as is your positioning of the stars. Very nicely done.

Roel Very nice sketches. M11 is difficult to sketch and yours is very well done!

Roel,
Excellent observations of M6, M7, and M11. These are wonderful open clusters to observe in the Summer sky. M11 is one of my favorite open clusters to observe. Thank you for sharing them with us all.

Roel,
Fantastic sketches. M-7 3 degrees above the horizon-- that is an amazing capture.
