My MEADE ETX case must be still moving things around and I am checking the LNT finder red dot finder offset. Not much but probably a degree or two. If I re-zero the red dot. Doesn't that throw the Level & North off again as well?
With a week of Clear Nights with this Scope. I should otherwise have this down pat and ready to host some local star parties.

NO the LNT has a board inside that is separate from the red dot- there is a battery there that powers the clock. The battery will die in about 12-18 months. So have a spare around. When the clock starts keeping BAD TIME change the battery.

Sorry Joe, my question is related to the Calibrate Sensor process.
Part of my problem seems related to the exact physical orientation of the LNT with respect to the Optical tube. Due to the flexure of the entire plastic assembly that the LNT is mounted on is only held by a single screw at the back end of the scope. The LNT/Finder is attached to the large plastic part (LPP) with two bolts that supposedly have nuts underneath the LPP. This bracket was somewhat loose when I received the unit back from Meade the last time and the looseness was undetected for some time until I accidently was holding onto the bracket and the whole thing shifted. Until that time I had been unable to align the Red Dot Finder even close all the way to the end of travel.
When I finally discovered the problem of mechanical alignment error I readjusted the LNT alignment screws back to center and moved the entire LNT until it was a close as possible and locked the LNT down with the two screws that attach the LNT to the large plastic shroud. Then I used the alignment screws to align the RDF and center things rather easily.
When I put the ETX 125PE into the Meade Case and take it out again for the next observing session, the RDF is slightly off by a degree or so. This is likely to be pressure on the top of the LNT Lens by the Case. So do I just do a quick align with the two screws on the LNT or accept the offset as is in the hope the misalign will correct itself?
This relates to the question of just re-calibrating the sensors. Unless my Clear sky clock is off, tonight will be the first time out with the scope in several months.
