Where did you expect it to go? I've seen posts where members had a 10".

I have an 8" LX90-- almost bought a 10....... the operation of the LX90s are pretty much exactly the same regardless of tube size--

lx90 12 vs lx200 is the extra money worth it, if you only plan to do visual work>>

Everyone has an opinion... But I would say NO...
In my opinion it is not worth the money IF YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU WILL NOT DO ANY IMAGING....
I compared (actually viewing from the scopes side by side) for a few nights the 12" LX90 to the 10" LX200 and to the other brands 11" ....when I was upgrading

I don't think we actually understand what you are asking? You started out asking about the LX90 10" and now you are asking about the difference between an LX90 and an LX200? ?
LX90 -- nice visual scope
LX200-- nice visual scope and can do astrophotography. PLUS the control panel on the LX200 does not rotate-- and the gears and forks are a little bit stronger and or bigger, additional ports also on the LX200.

hi joe, i have a lx-90-10 in l.n.t meade fork mount scope.the base is 8in dia circle.the lx-200 base is not.the control panel on my scope does not rotate. if someone would look pics of the two. this could be seen.both the scopes are fork mounted. there a difference in the 2scopes i agree with what you say about the lx-200.maybe i should have put meade lx-90-10 inch-L N T scope. maybe i missed seeing them.with {round base} clr skys

Technically, all the fork mount LX series scopes can be used for astrophotography, but the LX200 series have more robust mounts, mirror locks, and other features (including more robust worm gears) that make them much better for photographic purposes than the lower number LX series.

The 10 inch was MORE than I wanted to carry outside. Yes I can take short exposure photos-- and stack them using software. Field rotation prevents exposures longer than about 25 seconds..... in alt az mode. I do not own a wedge as 97.5% of my observing is visual.

Hi Will w, I have the same 'scope as you, (LX 90 LNT 10") and if you look carefully you will find that your control pannel WILL rotate as it is built into the fork arm. I find this a complete pain in the you know where! as the 'anti-cord rap' function basicly don't work..ask me how I Know!!
Other wise as others have said, its a cracking visual 'scope able to do limited photography. Mine also gets things into the field of view of my 32mm eyepice EVERY time!
