070309 - Great morning, 2 nice complex proms!
      #3196608 - 07/03/09 08:34 AM Attachment (151 downloads)

2 complex proms, the one on the west limb was much fainter than the other...The AR is very small but was very bright and easy to spot...

Errrr...Stephen's Solar sketches are kinda like a Barbie Doll--the "prominences" are not strictly "anatomically proportional".

OTOH, his eye for detail is pretty amazing. Great work!

Jim

Splendid report there Stephen! Its amazing we've all been tracking an unnamed AR. I guess we are all anxious for more action with this quiet sun!

Good looking sketch, Stephen. Looks like that bright area is at a high latitude.

There is a huge amount of detail in your sketch. Great job, Stephen!

Splendid work sir...

My interpretation of that NE complex about 6 hours later is on the scanner as I write this. I did not notice the others, but seeing at mid-day is really tough going. Your detail is much finer and than mine! Well done!
