Many I could use the Autostar Envisage for the last 3 points and use something else as a chart?

It should. I use Envisage to control my DSI's and LPI and my electric focus drive. I also used the autoguiding function of Envisage for about a year before switching to PHD. Anymore my standard setup is to just have the main star map function of Autostar Suite running in the background (I use it primarily to keep track of the local siderial time), I use the Remote Handbox function to control my scope and focusser, Envisage for imaging, and PHD for guiding. Switching between Remote Handbox and PHD is simple and quick.

You could. I've often used Envisage to control my camera, but the planetarium part of Autostar Suite (Epoch 2000) leaves a lot to be desired. I recommend Cartes du Ciel (free) instead.

KStars is a good Linux option and can control the ETX by clicking on a chart. All of the objects on the chart can be "dived into", with background information, imagery, etc, too.
