Zeiss Telementor Lens Cleaning new
      #3228016 - 07/20/09 09:10 AM

Does anyone know how to remove the lens cell of a Telementor 1(it has a helical focuser)? There are 2 screws in the tube by the cell so I imagine I would just loosen and the cell should slide out of the tube?

Thanks for any advise

Steve

It might help if you could post a picture.

Steve it is possible that pulling the cell from the tube may require colimating the lens once you stick it back in. In my experience if possible use a lens brush and air to clean your lenses, lightly dust and blow it off. Unless it is impossible to get it clean with this process. Then for the first time you clean it get help from a local old hand at working on telescopes. It is better to learn from the lenses he messed up then messing up yours!!
Where are you??? May be an old hand lurking in your area...
