Messier 29 July 25th 2009 new
      #3243241 - 07/28/09 03:51 PM

Hi there

I got out last Friday evening for the first time in quite a while. Initially there was cloud cover, but when it passed through the skies were wonderfully clear and transparent.

M29 may not be the most challenging of objects to sketch, I thought that I would ease myself into the new season with nothing too challenging.

Hope you enjoy it.

While I'm here, can anyone tell me how to download a larger image onto the site? When I try to download the larger image from Flickr it's too big and is blocked, this is the medium sized image.

Thanks for your help.

Great sketch of M29, Paul!

It may seem like a scrawny cluster, but I really like its structure. Files need to be less than 800x800 pixels and less than 100K. So one of those limits is what's tossing your image out. You could scale & save it to fit those numbers, or what I sometimes do--place the small image, and then provide a link to the larger one.

Hi Paul, Jeremy is correct regarding the file size limits. See our image posting guidelines here.

Paul,

An excellent observation of M29 in Cygnus. This is a fine open cluster in the eyepiece. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Carlos
