Excellent observations of NGC 6960 (Witch's Broom/Veil Nebula) and NGC 7000 (North American Nebula). Your dark Oregon skies and large aperture have combined to bring out these elusive targets. Thank you for sharing them with us all.

Thanks everybody. I have been getting _much_ faster this year with the sketches, especially objects I've looked at a lot before.
I have been struggling with brightness: under the dim light I am hesitant to commit too much whiteness, then once I spray it it often doesn't look/scan bright enough and requires touch-up in pencil and/or digitally.

nice sketches aaron, the veil nebula looks very much the same to me. haven't succeeded in spotting the North America nebula though.
