Hi,
A clear morning today so I photographed the quiet surface(s) of the sun - the chromosphere in Ha and the photosphere at CaK wavelenths.

Thank you... no, the seeing in blue-violet wavelengths is the worst of the visual spectrum, but the granulation seems most contrasty at this wavelength. Red and green filters do help to tame the seeing better than shooting unfiltered. The air seemed pretty stable when I first went out, but it was a fleeting thing (as always!)
