cleaning?

i was wondering how to properly clean the front lens on my etx-125 i have some small water spots to get off of it but i dont want to get any swirl marks or streaks, i have a pretty good lens cloth but what do use for cleaner i think just using water will make it streak

Buy some ROR cleaning fluid (Adorama.com) and buy some Intrinsics wipes (OPT.com)..

Here in the UK you can get a product called an E-Cloth. It's a chemical and detergent free cleaning cloth which just uses ordinary tap water. Just spray a little onto the glass and wipe off, no streaks or marks, just clean glass. It really does work. Good for all glass surfaces.

Here in the USA they use allot of chemicals to treat the tap water..

For tough smudges or spots, I use Windex and a lens tissue or cotton swab on my EP's and objectives -- on the tissue or swab first. I was hesitant the first time, but then, when the lens didn't melt away, and was actually clean, I was content.
