Jupiter from Sweden
      #3257463 - 08/06/09 11:19 AM

Hi guys. This is my first post.
Late last night I tried to take a picture of Jupiter with my little ETX-70.
I hooked up my Canon Powershot and set it to film-mode, and shot about 60 seconds. Then stacked it in Registax. This is the result:

Cropped and enlarged 250%.

It was my first attempt at Jupiter and I honestly didn't think I was going to get a good result but I think it ended up pretty nice.

/Daniel

Hi, I didn't use any filter, just some minor tweaking of the wavelet processing in registax. Oh, and the cropped version has some minor curve adjustments.

From UK at 51N I haven't bothered with Jupiter because of it low altitude before midnight [and my neighbour's willow tree blocking the view SE ] so you've done exceptionally well for Sweden Can I suggest you post an enlarged and maybe brighter image - it looks a little tiny and dim on my monitor

If it looks small and dim it's because it is

However I've enlarged the original image 500% and brightened it a bit.
