The image is fine, but what is the problem with your scanner? I've scanned it and messed around with the settings; I just can't get fine detail out of the scanner even when I take it into Photoshop. It's an old Lexmark - I think we bought it 5 years ago. I get a better picture off of my cell phone than the scanner. So either a new scanner or better digital camera.
