Sky Atlas for Southern Observers
      #3271816 - 08/14/09 07:42 AM

Hi!
Living at +- 13º South, I’m looking for a Sky map that uses the equatorial projection. I’ve printed the Triatlas and acquired pdf versions of the uranometria and Sky atlas 2000.
In all of them, the northern constellations are a little hard to understand. In fact I use to read it with the words inverted. It’s not too hard, but annoys a little.
Do someone know an atlas to be used in my latitude?
Thanks
Rogerio

Well not if you mean inverted labels - now, you can use an ephemeris program to print out charts with locally oriented labels.

For whole sky charts, "Peterson's Field Guide to the Stars and Planets" has charts explicitly for southern observers.
