Demelza,
You have made a very fine sketch of a fine planetary nebula. I took a look at it myself yesterday, but the transparency was poor and I could not see the detail you have so nicely rendered.

Very nice dumbell, i saw this myself last month for the first time in my lp suburb, i could barely make a rectangle of glow, your sketch looks a lot like the one time i saw it from a dark sight, great job thanks for posting.

Excellent job with terrific details in the sketch. I haven't visited M27 this summer yet and you have reminded me that I need to do so. I was Herschel hunting last night. BTW I like your new avatar.

Thank you, guys! M27 is one of my favorite planetary nebulae, a nice target for every telescope.
@Kris: A rare night with excellent conditions. This year is not very good for observers
@Jay: Herschel hunting is my new 'project'. But there are some Messiers that are worth a second, third or more visit, like M27, M42 and M31. By the way: Glad you like my avatar.
