to share my other extreme, I have a small 66 F400 ED refractor on a small GOTO mount, which I flew to eastern China to observe the total eclipse this July. It was cloudy and raining before and after, but it's so blessed that the cloudy clear away for 7 min or so during the totality.

After that the weather turned bad again and as I have imaged the important part, I felt so relieved, so have time to do another "Sidewalk" again....

this is my video uploaded to Youtube showing how it turn day into night in 30sec or so. There you will hear Mandarin, Cantonese, English, Spanish, as we led a team of Spanish amateurs to head west for a hundred miles and flee away from the rainstorm that morning.

One must be under the shadow of the Moon at least once in his lifetime.

Just completed the restoration on this 1950s Monolux Model 4375, 60mm/910mm refractor. The optics are on par with my 60mm Unitron.

Yours is a nice restoration.
Looks great, honestly.

It is almost comparable with a Swiss clock. All is thought perfectly, ft3545 is fabulous, the first star test is excellent, and my Intes m603 remains in its case, sorry for him
