Hi Folks!
So, seems like alot of folks here are getting some observing time, finally! 
Last night I had the chance to get outside with the scope and my handy "S&T Pocket Sky Atlas", my good ole "Observing Handbook and Catalogue of Deep Sky Objects" by Luginbuhl & Skiff and got to work on observing many NGCs. I got the chance to observe the globular clusters in Delphinus, NGC 7006 and NGC 6934. I was able to pull in 6934 surprisingly easy, but reading some info on 7006 I was surprised to pull it in at all from my suburban skies in an 8" dob. The skies were exceptionally well and the later it got the better observing was. NGC 7006 just appeared as a dim out of focus star.Without scanning *very* slowly and having an idea what your looking for, you could pass right over this object for sure. Very faint, very compact with no granular appearance ( not expecting to from what I've read ). I guess even the big scopes have a hard time pulling any detail in on this object as well. Quite a unique object sitting in as one of the most remote GCs of the Milky Way at 150,000-200,000 light years away. I feel honored to have seen anything!
NGC 6934 was indeed quite an easy object. As a matter of fact, I had my Telrad positioned so the object was just about dead center in the eyepiece at a low power of 49x. Easily detectable but it had no appearance other then being a small circular patch of light the globulars are known for. Throwing up high power with the 5mm, it was pretty small, but bright and showing some individual stars flaring to the outter edges at 244x. Very nice little team going on in Delphinus. I would love to get this team on my side in darker skies!

Hi Dain,
Glad to hear that you are getting some observing time in. We are back to thunderstorms and tornado warnings tonight.
NGC 7006 is a tough globular cluster to resolve. The best I have been able to do is to notice an uneven pentagonal shape to the cluster. In photographs there are five stars in the proper positions to create that appearance.

Howdy Ted!
Looks like I can get a little bit of time in right now, although there is humidity in the air. I guess I'll take what I can get for now. Hopefully I can observe a nice handful of objects. If so, I'll be coming back to post some more observations from good ole upstate NY!

I too was swimming around Delphinus the other night. PN 6905 was my goal. Now I'm done with the H400's in Delph.
There's not a lot of bright objects in that small constellation.

I've found both globular clusters and NGC-6905 in Delphinus with a 6-inch from a site just outside of my city. NGC-7006 is surprisingly bright despite it being some 185,000 light years away from us. In a 10-inch it's still a fuzzy ball at high power from dark sites, but NGC-6934 shows some resolution at 260X from a fairly dark site.

Jim,
It is amazing all the gems that hide in that constellation. I have observed Pn 6905 along with Pn 6891 before, with the latter being the easiest of the two. I'm just working on a few more of the EG in there and then I'll be all set for Delphinus.
