If the ETX isn't listed as one of the scopes during set up, just pick ETX70 and away you go... If not you may have to download the latest updater and firmware from Meade. There's an option I believe under Utils that allows you to select which scope you're using, and there's a pre-programmed setting for the ETX-80. You may have to run the train and calibrate routines again to account for the 80's different gear ratios. Nice find, one of these days I might do the same. I have both the #497 and #494 now, but the controller only "remembers" one scope at a time, hence the need to re-train and calibrate each time you migrate a controller. -------------------- Tim Champion of small aperture scopes everywhere!
