Eyepiece Forum Guidelines new

Welcome to the Eyepiece Forum! I just want to remind everyone about the Cloudy Nights policies.

When you get a chance, please review the following policies:

TOS

and

CN Family Oriented Posting Guidelines

We ask that everyone adhere to the family oriented posting guidelines we have posted. I know it's very easy to slip and make a comment or post that is out of line. We understand this and will always send you a friendly email about the post. However, we will not tolerate internet trolling behavior and will ban posters that repeatedly follow this behavior.

Thanks and Enjoy!

Here are a couple of ways to add a "shortened" link to your posts so that readers don't have to scroll back & forth to read a thread when a lengthy link is posted.

Shorten links

(Note: use backspace key may be necessary to remove the shaded area when the two windows open, then insert your link)

These directions were originally posted in another thread by Carol one of our other Eyepiece forum moderators.

After moderator review, the image posting guidelines have been relaxed a bit. Posted images may be up to 800x800 pixels in resolution and 100K in size or less. This will allows slightly taller images than has been allowed in the past. This goes for images that are "hotlinked" from elsewhere, as well as those attached to the post.

All rules regarding personal ownership of the photos still apply. See the copyright rules link posted above for more information, or read the terms of service.

Lately, there have been a lot of posts in the eyepiece forum ranting about one company or another. From now on, all such threads will be removed. Per the "Terms of Service":

Quote:

Posts with the intent of “creating a reaction” are not welcome here (no “trolling”).

Thanks for understanding.
