Great review. Sure is small and cute. I was looking at getting the Zhumell Z12, but must say this one sure is more compact to say the least.

I am surprised to see no baffle behind the focuser. How can the views be good if all kinds of extraneous light is entering the focuser??

I've just bought one too. Its a great little scope! It does need some kind of shroud though...and a table!

I noticed that immediately, too. I also expect that the secondary will quickly dew up, as it's just hung out there.

Perhaps both can be easily conquered with a home-made shroud made of closed-cell foam (camping pad stuff), internally flocked.

Other than those issues, and the need for a concrete table to set it on, it looks like a dandy unit! And like the reviewer said, if it gets used ...

They should put a 1/4-20 or 6mm threaded hole in the bottom nut so that it could be placed on a video tripod.

I too have this scope. I mounted it to a heavy duty video camera tripod but it was still a tad shaky. I am more concerned about pulling out the nut I imbedded in the base. I have only used it one night and must say it performed very well as is (but on a stable table).
